Tips For Food Intake

Never take food when you haven’t urinated, during lack of appetite or prolonged fasting.
The diet, especially hard foods, should be properly chewed. Better avoid hard foods at nigt time.
Avoid taking water at least 15 minutes before having food.
The proper time for taking your dinner is approximately 2-3 hours before bed time.
Short walk after food, aids digestion.
While eating, only 1/3 rd of stomach capacity should be filled with food, 1/3rd must be liquid and 1/3rd should be left empty. This aids in proper digestion, gives room for air circulation in stomach and thus promotes mental clarity.
Siddha system advices to sip warm water along wth food that’s not chilled, as it nutralise jadaragni.
