1)VATHA : Those having black, dry, curly, coarse hair with splitted hairshaft.
2)PITHA: Those having light brown, yelowish or reddish tint in the hair, premature greying, minimal hairs, vanishes too early than others.
3)KAPHA: Those having thick ,oily lustrous attractive hair.
